Stephanie Chancey
Hi! My name is Stephanie. The one thing that has never changed is my belief in its transformative power and its ability to challenge and change anyone. Unlike so many other facets of life, adaptations such as strength, power, and muscle growth, do not care who you are, where you come from or what you look like.
There’s no denying that achieving fitness related goals is a delicate balance of energy in, energy out, of pushing hard enough to signal growth, while managing fatigue, of going all out and knowing when to scale it back.

I’m excited to be a part of the team and the community here at Rick Anderson Fitness!

Calvin Bright III
Hi, my name is Calvin Bright III, and I'm a proud Perquimans County native now living in Pasquotank County with my wife, Rachel. I own Eastern Landscapes LLC, and I've spent 30 years in the landscaping industry. Fifteen years ago, I started my fitness journey at the YMCA in Elizabeth City, NC, shedding nearly 100 pounds. Fitness transformed my life, and I've trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, CrossFit, Kettlebell Training, Group Fitness, Functional Fitness, and Yoga. I've had the privilege of training with elite individuals, including USCG Rescue Swimmers and Military Special Forces members. I believe that while only about 5% of our time is spent in the gym, the other 95% is crucial for living healthily. As a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, I aim to help others overcome obstacles and achieve their fitness goals. I'm also excited to become a certified Stretching and Flexibility Coach in August 2024. Thanks to Rick Anderson Fitness for helping me grow in this journey.

Hi, my name is Tyra. I received my Health and Fitness Science certificate from College of the Albemarle in 2022 and received my Certified Personal Trainer certificate through IFTA in 2024. I am continuing my education at Elizabeth City State University where my major is Kinesiology. I believe in making fitness fun! Passion and dedication are required to stick to any fitness regimen in order to see results. There won’t be any long-term dedication to anything you don’t enjoy. I believe in balance and consistency. I love to challenge myself through workouts, preferably CrossFit. I'm also a former athlete, I played volleyball and basketball in high school and have competed in powerlifting. Over time, my passion for fitness and weight training grew. As I continue my education, I begin to want to reach out and help others who are looking to grow themselves as well.

Kim Holtzman
Hi, I’m Kim! I live here in Elizabeth City with my husband Rick (USAF, Ret.). We moved here almost three years ago from the Atlanta area to be close to family. Not only are we Blessed to
have our son, daughter-in-love (also her amazing family!) and our grandson mere steps away from us, we also have family in the Annapolis, MD area. I love spending time with family, cooking, reading, genealogy research, gardening and of course, staying fit!
Having been a military family moving around for 23 years, I know all too well the challenge of keeping up with your own physical fitness and oftentimes, that ends up on the bottom of the list.
After getting settled here and accomplishing a few projects, we decided to make our health and wellness a priority again. Discovering Rick Anderson Fitness was like coming home!
This gym offers everything we need and then some! What I love most: the staff! Everyone here is so friendly, welcoming, caring and they are genuinely interested in helping you achieve your
goals to become the very best version of yourself! I love this so much that I am joining the team as a Pilates Instructor! I am excited about this new adventure and forward to working with you!

Liz Kardasiewicz
Hello. My name is Liz. I was born and raised in a town called Visalia, California located in the Central Valley. When I lived in Visalia, it had a population of around 70,000 people and was surrounded by cornfields, almond groves and dairies. Starting around the age of 5, I started playing softball and I played up through high school.
In 2010, I joined the Navy which gave me many opportunities for travel. While in the Navy I met my husband. Lucky for me, because I like to travel, his hometown is in Poland so I have the opportunity to venture off to Europe from time to time. Shortly after I separated from the Navy, I had the first of three daughters. Now after 15 years of being affiliated with the Navy, both as the service member and spouse, I have had the opportunity to live on both coasts as well as spend time in Japan. Japan was such an amazing experience.
The Navy brought us to Norfolk. A large bustling city where we just did not fit in. Looking for a place more like where I grew up, we ventured down to North Carolina and there we found the quaint small town of Elizabeth City. In the short time living here, Elizabeth City has felt more like home than any other place we have been.
